The deal, in plain words. piko composes a single page from your sentence and hosts it at its own address for a lifespan you choose. These terms cover what you get, what you keep, and the few things we ask.
You describe something in a sentence. piko composes a single page for it — type, palette, sections, and a first draft of every line — and you shape it from there. When you publish, the page is frozen and served at piko.so/your-address for the lifespan you picked.
You own what you write and upload. You give piko permission to store, compose and publicly serve it for as long as your page is live — that permission is what hosting is, and it ends when the page does. You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you put on a page: words, images, video, someone else’s brand.
Every page gets a lifespan. The first 24 hours are free. Longer terms — a week, a month, a year — are one-off payments. Nothing recurs, nothing auto-renews, and there is no subscription to cancel. Near the end of a paid term we email the address that bought it so you can extend; if you don’t, the page bows out politely at its address rather than 404ing. Buying more time extends from the day you buy it.
Each press costs real computing, so presses are rate-limited and tied to a verified email. Don’t automate them, resell them, or work around the limits.
Don’t publish anything illegal, malicious, deceptive, or built to impersonate someone. Don’t use a page to harass people or distribute malware. If a page does these things we may take it down without notice and without a refund.
piko is a small, independent product. We work to keep published pages up and will tell you honestly when something breaks, but we don’t promise an uptime figure, and features may change as the product grows. Published pages are served from frozen snapshots specifically so the editor can fail without taking your page down.
piko is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for that page. We aren’t liable for lost profits, lost visitors, or anything that follows from a page being unavailable.
We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed, and material changes will be obvious rather than quiet. You can stop using piko at any time — unpublishing a page removes it and its signups. If we ever have to close an account, live paid pages run out their remaining term unless they broke §04.
